Hong Kong Mini Cup Noodle

These mini cup noodles were buying from Hong Kong. No doubt, these are what I bought from Hong Kong. As they are so cute, and the price is reasonable. It's just about HKD12 for 4 cups.
It calls Dim Dum Noodle in Hong Kong, may be because the size is mini just like dim sum. I bought the pork & seafood flavoured. As there is only 2 choices to choose.
Take the closer view on the mini cups, it is cute, isn't it?
When I open the cup, it's really surprise me there is mini cute pieces of ingredients. The noodle is only about half of our normal size cup noodle. But is enough for us on our supper.
The noodle is just the normal taste. And you can eat the prawn taste on seafood cup soup base. I am sure you all are more interested on the pork flavour, as we are not able to get pork cup noodle in Malaysia. The soup base a little salty and having pork floss taste on it. Should buy more next time...;)

The Manhattan Fish Market @ Queensbay Mall, Penang

We everyday are scratching our head on what to eat. Comes to a day we are in a mood to eat "ho liao" (nice food) for our holiday dinner, then we go to Queensbay Mall.

The Manhattan Fish Market is always my dear all day favourite outlet. So he suggested here. We always ordered 2 person platter. But this day we decided to choose ala-carte.
I found this promotional set - Oriental Baked Fish + Ice Lemon tea is just RM18.90.
Our Ice Lemon tea with cold sky juice.
Here you go...it comes with baked dolly fish. The sauce taste sweet & spicy, a little like our ikan bakar. The banana leave is putting on the bottom of the fish to make the good smell stronger. You can choose either french fries or rice for your set. Rice is always my choice as I like the well cook rice and ginger smell.
This is my dear alar-carte fish platter. I not really can remember the dish's name but it is baked fish topping with their home made mayonaise.

Dragon-i @ Queensbay Mall, Penang

2 days when I back to office from my leaves, we are having a lunch with our special guest from US. She had no idea what to eat on the lunch. Hence we are suggested to have our lunch at Dragon-i which located at Queensbay Mall, Penang.

There have ala-carte on the menu. During that time, they are promoting Parents Day Special Set Menu (总有你“参”宴) on weekdays only. There have 8 pax & 4 pax set menu. Since we have 8 persons, so we choose the 8 pax set menu which cost RM388++

Besides that, we still ordered 2 plate of Shanghainese Steamed Meat Dumpling (RM9 per plate). Just want to let our special guest to taste on it.
There is 5 types of appetizer for us to choose any 3 dishes. This is the first one we choose. The Smoked beancurd Skin stuffed with mushroom, the topping sauce is taste a bit like the peanut jam. Taste special and nice.
The 2nd appetizer is Shredded Radish with Jelly Fish. The jelly fish is serve in cold condition.
The 3rd is Cold Spicy Chicken in Sichuan Style, chicken serve in cold with chili oil, topping with peanuts.
The first main course is this herbal chicken soup. It is cook with fresh ginseng.
One of our main course suppose to be Shanghainese Braised Pork's Shank, but our guest was not fanny on that, so we change it to this crispy spicy chicken (辣子鸡). The chicken was deep fried and cook with dried chili. This thumps up Beijing Crispy Duck was served boneless. The right way to eat is wrap the duck with the flour skin, add in spring onion, cucumber and the special sauce they made. The duck is well done without the duck weird smell that we usually taste. It still taste good even eat without the skin.
The vegetable dishes, braised black mushroom, winter bamboo shoot & vegetable. This is my first time eat bamboo shoot, a bit crunchy when you bite.

There still got 2 dishes which I forgot to take pictures. One is braised Garoupa with brown sauce & another one is sauteed Sea Prawn in Sichuan Style.
The last 2 dishes is our desserts.
This is my favourite among all the dishes. I like the Aloe Vera in this dessert. This set menu do free one bowl of double boiled bird's nest with ginseng.

Our lunch spend about 2 and half hours of our working time. Really a long lunch and very full. This meal is cost almost RM500 after tax & service charge.

Curry chicken + Old cucumber soup

I do not walk in the kitchen for a long time. Because of many activities and ...I am lazy. Recently was addicted to spicy food. So decided to cook curry chicken for this holiday.
At first was thinking to buy A1 chicken soup packet to cook my chicken soup. But realise that the supermarket do not sell it. Just feel weird on that. Well, see the fresh old cucumber, then decided to have one more try on it. As my first time on cucumber soup was failed.

I started to boil the soup on 2pm+ until 6pm. Just want to make the old cucumber is completely mix with the soup & chicken. Added salt to taste. Erm, this time better.
This curry chicken is simply easy to make and nice. I was using a packet of premix curry chicken paste, 300gm chicken slice & 2 nos potatoes. It only need 20 minutes to prepare.
Our dinner meal on that day. I am still learning to estimate the portion for 2. Just feel it is hard and always cook more on every dishes. Too full.....urrrrgh~~~satisfied...
